Up until the age of 30 I’d never lived anywhere for more than 2 years.
Rather unsettling in some respects, but the constant moving taught me how to quickly adapt to new situations, and blessed me with an open mind and listening ears – an advantage in the creative industry. I trained in London back in the 80’s giving me about 25 years experience (crickey, doesn’t feel that long)

Design naturally mixes in with my lifestyle.
I love the spontaneity, the interaction, the mixing, the journey and the unique result. I’ve been fortunate enough to grow up in a classic kiwi rural environment.
I always enjoy the challenge of working with limited resources to come up with the best solutions. I believe in changing my perspective as much as possible to source inspiration, getting amongst our natural playground where exploration is always the driver.

I arrived at Band from a background in art, exhibition design and freelance graphic design.
The Band experience manages to combine all 3, plus you can walk to the beach for a swim at lunchtime.

I've been in the industry for more than 20 years (taking a little time out to create two yummy little boys).
I'm back! and more excited than ever. My strengths are intuition, vision and passion for design.

I have been working in the design industry for 15 years, both in New Zealand and in the UK.
This included a recent 2 year stint in Devon working as a designer and photographer.
Now back in my home town, I'm enjoying working with a great bunch of people and all that Bay has to offer :)

The newest member of Band... and so the adventure begins!
I am enthusiastic, ready to learn and surrounded by extremely talented and passionate creative people – what could be more exciting! If I’m not at my computer working some creative magic, I’m out beating the pavement keeping fit, working on my boxing techniques at the gym or in the kitchen baking up a storm. Keeping fit and baking go hand-in-hand right – it’s all about balance :)

Jumping aboard the bandwagon has been an extremely valuable experience with a steep learning trajectory unlike any other.
I arrived at Band looking to find some work experience and ended up as the intern! My passion for Art & Design has allowed me to work here as well as completing my Visual Arts & Design degree simultaneously. Whew! Being the youngest here, the inspiration that comes from seeing the talent of the experienced designers around me is just pure gold!
