Rather unsettling in some respects, but the constant moving taught me how to quickly adapt to new situations, and blessed me with an open mind and listening ears – an advantage in the creative industry. I trained in London back in the 80’s giving me about 25 years experience (crickey, doesn’t feel that long)
I love the spontaneity, the interaction, the mixing, the journey and the unique result. I’ve been fortunate enough to grow up in a classic kiwi rural environment.
I always enjoy the challenge of working with limited resources to come up with the best solutions. I believe in changing my perspective as much as possible to source inspiration, getting amongst our natural playground where exploration is always the driver.
The Band experience manages to combine all 3, plus you can walk to the beach for a swim at lunchtime.
So after returning home and completing a design degree I’m now moving into the new experiences and challenges of graphic design. Although my camera is still never far from reach, but then its nice to be able to add my own little skills to an already versatile team!
For the last 2 years, I was living in Exeter, Devon working as senior designer for Nexus, and as a photographer for Exesight Photography.
Now back in my home town, I'm enjoying working with a great bunch of people and all that Bay has to offer :)
Snowboarding, fine art, house-bus living, 2 whippersnippets, mt biking, design, thinking, drawing, wakeboarding, yoga, slow food and light living...
I've been in the industry for more than 20 years (taking a little time out to create two yummy little boys).
I'm back! and more excited than ever. My strengths are intuition, vision and passion for design.
